The Daily Path — Because Competition Doesn't Wait for the Weekend
Some games need an appointment.
You gather the family, make sure everyone's free, wait for the latecomer who said they were on their way half an hour ago — and then, finally, the round begins.
But the urge to test yourself doesn't always wait for a full session.
Sometimes you want one question. A short challenge. A single minute after which you'll know whether your mind showed up today, or the coffee hasn't started working yet.
That's where "The Daily Path" comes from.
A bite-size daily challenge from LettersWay: five questions on five letters, completable in about a minute, accompanied by a global leaderboard that resets every 24 hours.
At midnight, the system automatically generates a new challenge from the question bank. And from that moment, every player of the day faces the same path.
The same questions.
The same letters.
The same chance.
That was the first design decision we made.
One path for everyone
If every player got different questions, comparison wouldn't mean much. One person might face a question they've known since school, while another tries to recall a fact they half-heard in a documentary ten years ago.
So everyone plays the same challenge all day long.
When you tell someone you got four answers right, they'll have faced the very same questions. They might know exactly which question cost you the perfect score — because it cost them too.
And that's how a solo challenge turns into a shared conversation.
Knowledge alone isn't enough
In The Daily Path, your result is measured by accuracy and speed together.
Correct answers out of five come first. When two players tie, time decides between them.
Five correct answers beat four, no matter how fast the four came. And among players with the same score, every second counts.
Which means you'll face the familiar dilemma: answer instantly because you're almost sure, or give yourself two extra seconds — and then discover that today's champion didn't give themselves those two seconds?
One attempt on the board
Playing the challenge is open — but registering on the leaderboard happens once per day, per device and per network.
We wanted the list to reflect the real attempt, not the best result after twenty replays, by which point the answers are memorized better than old phone numbers.
You can come back and look at the challenge again, but your place on today's board is earned by your first run.
When the questions end, your result appears immediately. You can then choose the name you want to appear with, pick your country, and see your rank among today's players — with correct answers, time, and medals at the top of the list.
Your name might appear next to a player from the UAE, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, or anywhere else. And anyone who doesn't find their country can choose "Other".
Registering is entirely optional. You can play the challenge, see your result, and leave without adding your name to the board.
You can also share your result on WhatsApp with a single tap — without revealing any questions or answers. Your friends will know you got four out of five, but they'll have to walk the path themselves to find out whether they can beat you.
The Daily Path is a small addition compared to the full group game, but it gives LettersWay a different rhythm.
The big round gathers people around the table.
